Abstract Seamless Meta Visual Cosmoses ~ Blazing Ancient Mantra- Resonances

Abstraction is a human activity and a primordial art instinct from times immemorial ~In fact the whole Cosmoses Of Creations and Words and Silences are abstract first and essentially , before they self-decipher into visible meanings and natural symbols. Yoga and Tantra talk about Mandala-s and Chakra-s ~ The essential eidos blossoms into the cosmoses of meanings and multiple worlds of Realities and Vast Visions.

The reflections of water in sunlight landscapes, the bubbles of water in breeze which hold spectral universes, the varied watery-mud tracks, fallen leaves among shadows, ~  in almost very space one can see visual abstractions  ~  the arrangement of stones on the mountain, the trees in the forest,  the seamless distribution of clouds on the skies,  moss and decay spreading on the walls --- to make explicit a few special cases of visual abstractions. Music is essentially abstract too especially the Indian RagA-s and their primal and arbitrary and seamless elaborations. Of course Mantram-s are divine and abstract too ~ [ But in This section we deal with visual abstractions sometimes embedded into a coherence by Revealed Mantram-s too. ]

In the modern aesthetic sense Abstraction in plastic Art came as a rebellion against Photography so to say! When Photographers did easy portraits and landscapes the painters sought new terrains and explored them. There were two  distinct ways the rebellion took on ~ Exterior,[ Puram(Tamizh)  Baahyam(Sanskrit) ]  and Interior [ Akam(Tamizh) Antaram (Sanskrit) ] First Group of  Artists went essentially into Impressionism deviating from the stark realism of the Victorian Era :  Claude Monet, Paul Cezanne.( Cezanne also was a pioneer among  Post-impressionists) The other group were  more expressive and were termed : Expressionists Vincent VanGogh and a little later Henri Matisse and the Fauves among others and the so called Symbolists (Like ) also came to explore new terrains. Impressionism came and became an accepted  visual method of deciphering landscape and spread all around the world and continues to be explored in different ways but essentially still in the same way ~ Monet became a creed ~

Expressionism became more variegated ~  It had two expressions one a shift and exaggeration of  method [ overlapping planes to create a specific distortion and vision ] by Cubists [ Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque etc. ] which eventually lead to the self-annihilation of the gemoetric Cubist method by the pure recti-linear geometry of Piet Mondrian.  The Other Group after the initial brief Fauvist freedom of expression and and the great liberation of colours went on in various directions to pure expressionism of Paul Klee[ Klee Geometrized too expressionistically ]  Vassile Kandinsky etc. This way finally after long had a resurrection and a final affirmation in American Abstract Expressionism [ Jackson Pollock, De Kooning, Arshile Gorky etc. ] . Expressionist and Abstract Expressionist methods and styles have also got universally and intrinsically  accepted in Design of textiles especially Indian and the artistic world in general including most advertising .

Expressionism also revived and re-discovered  various form of of surreal and Visionary art [ culling inspiration from classical
Hieronymus Bosch, William Blake etc. of older times people like  Marc Chagall, Salvador Dali etc. emerged

Pointillism of Seurat was a way of technical impressionism and Pop art of Andy warhol etc finally culminated in the very dead end of method into absurd self-extinction. Hyper-realism (including Futurism) also surfaced from time to time to counter these abstract ways and wayfinders.

Finally in a full circular eventuality( we may say meta-fatally ) Photography alsio turned abstract with deliberate intention. In The photography Section I have explored various Abstract possibilities both by way of Impressionism and Expressionism  ~

Then came this field which we explore here in this section ~ "Light Paintings" ~  created fully in Light and colours and radiance of the the computer screen without any image or photo to start with. These are created on "Adobe Photo Shop" and "Corel Photo Paint" ~

There are two sections " Visual Meta Journeys" which are  closest to Abstract Expressionism charecterized by Vigorous and subtle colours and chracteristic rhythm and here also tone, lighting, saturation,  hue, contrast, etc in all their wonder magic and exuberant self expression deliberate affirmation. If you warm up to Klee and Kandinsky and Pollock and and De-kooning  this section should bring delight to you in its own way.

The Other Section Is More Geometric Designing Of Mystic Spaces Called "Mandalaa-s"[ and /or "Chakras" in Hindu-Buddhist-Jain- Traditions. They have generally an Associated Deity and Have emnations which are subtle (sooshma) and self purifying. Each is Characterized by a Mantram and innumerable Nyaasam-s divine cosmic mystico-etymological elucidations in Mantram-s and Mownam-s [ Silences ]

Impressionism was a 19th century art movement that began as a loose association of Paris-based artists, who began exhibiting their art publicly in the 1860s. The name of the movement is derived from the title of a Claude Monet work, Impression, Sunrise (Impression, soleil levant), which provoked the critic Louis Leroy to coin the term in a satiric review published in Le Charivari.

Characteristics of Impressionist painting include visible brushstrokes, open composition, emphasis on light in its changing qualities (often accentuating the effects of the passage of time), ordinary subject matter, the inclusion of movement as a crucial element of human perception and experience, and unusual visual angles.

The emergence of Impressionism in the visual arts was soon followed by analogous movements in other media which became known as Impressionist music and Impressionist literature.

Expressionism is the tendency of an artist to distort reality for an emotional effect; it is a subjective art form. Expressionism is exhibited in many art forms, including painting, literature, theatre, film, architecture and music. Additionally, the term often implies emotional angst – the number of cheerful expressionist works is relatively small.

In this general sense, painters such as Matthias Grünewald and El Greco can be called expressionist, though in practice, the term is applied mainly to 20th century works.

Abstract expressionism was an American post-World War II art movement. It was the first specifically American movement to achieve worldwide influence and also the one that put New York City at the center of the art world, a role formerly filled by Paris. The term "Abstract expressionism" was first applied to American art in 1946 by the art critic Robert Coates.
